Sculpted by Rick, this tile captures the intricate spiral of the shell and the soft, organic form of its inhabitant. Every tile is hand-pressed in our Michigan studio and finished with Rick’s signature small-batch glazes, ensuring that each piece is a unique celebration of the quiet wonders around us.

Artisanal Craft & Specifications

The Whistling Frog Process: Each original design is hand-sculpted by Rick, then molded and pressed into premium Michigan porcelain. We fire our work to 2230°F, resulting in a fully vitrified, moisture-resistant finish that is as durable as it is beautiful.

Signature Small-Batch Glazing: We create our own glazes in house using time-tested recipes. This artisanal, small-scale approach allows for subtle variations in color and depth, giving each snail a one-of-a-kind character.

Architectural Versatility:

Dimensions: 3.75" x 3.75" (Nominal 4x4") with a high-relief depth of .5" or less.

Installation Grade: Completely heat and moisture-resistant. Ideal for backsplashes, shower niches, or outdoor garden accents.

Note: For exterior use in freezing climates, vertical installation is required.

Ready for Display: Includes a built-in notch on the back for immediate wall hanging. For tabletop display, our 4x4" tile stand is available separately.
