Butterfly Fish Shaped Tile

Butterfly Fish Shaped Tile
Butterfly Fish art tile was sculpted by Rick.
Materials: made in Michigan porcelain and Rick's specially formulated glaze. Using Rick's time tested recipes, we make small batches of glaze. Working small like we do, allows for variations in the glazes, creating one of a kind pieces. All of our tiles are handmade in our Michigan studio. This tile measures ~4 x4” with raised relief of .5" or less.
There is a notch on back for hanging, yet if you wish to install, it's also suitable for that too. If used outdoors in freezing temperatures, just make sure to keep it vertical.
Here’s a quick ‘How’s it made?’ breakdown: We sculpt the original design, make a plaster mold, press in clay, wait for drying, fire in kiln, glaze, fire again to about 2230 degrees and then cool.
We donate a percentage of each tile sold to one of the organizations listed on the 'Community' page of our website. It’s feel good time!

The Butterfly Fish Art Tile is a masterful, hand-sculpted celebration of the vibrant life found within the world's coral reefs. Capturing the iconic shape and delicate movement of the species, this 4x4" tile brings a tactile, aquatic energy to any interior design.
Artisan Quality for the Coastal Home:
Intricate Marine Relief: Originally hand-sculpted to capture the elegant profile of the butterfly fish, each tile is hand-pressed and finished with small-batch, artisan glazes. These finishes mirror the sun-dappled colors of the ocean, ensuring your piece is a one-of-a-kind original.
Museum-Quality Material: Fired to nearly 2230°F, our Michigan-made porcelain is fully vitrified. This makes it moisture-resistant and heat-resistant, providing a durable and sophisticated solution for coastal shower niches, kitchen backsplashes, or pool-area accents.
A Treasure for Ocean Lovers: Whether used as a standalone wall piece via its built-in notch or integrated into a full tile installation, this piece serves as a timeless anchor for nautical or tropical design palettes.
